Security / breakaway shear bolt that secures the ignition lock housing to the steering column.

This ignition housing shear bolt is the security (breakaway) bolt used to fix the VAG ignition lock housing to the steering column on a wide range of Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles. It is the correct replacement when the original bolt has sheared off (by design), seized or gone missing during an ignition repair or housing replacement.

Always check the part against your existing bolt and ignition housing before ordering.

What it is

A shear / breakaway head bolt - the head snaps off on fitting to leave a tamper-resistant fixing for the ignition housing.
