The Renault Remote Key 4 Legs Solder Button Switch Replacement is a cost-effective replacement button part for selected Renault remote keys. It is ideal when the remote key is generally working, but the button area has become worn, split, sticky, intermittent or difficult to press.

Instead of replacing, cutting and programming a complete new remote key, many button faults can be repaired using the correct replacement button part. This can save money and keep the original key electronics in use where they are still serviceable.

This is a soldered remote key button switch with 4 Legs. It is designed for PCB-level repair where the physical switch on the circuit board has worn out, collapsed, become intermittent or stopped clicking correctly.

How to diagnose the fault

The button may be the issue if the remote only works after pressing very hard, one button function has stopped while the others still work, the switch no longer clicks, or the PCB switch feels loose, damaged or corroded. Always check the battery, board condition and solder joints before replacing parts.

Fitting advice

This part requires soldering. We recommend using heat protection tape, a microscope or inspection scope, flux and suitable soldering equipment so the board pads, tracks, transponder area and nearby components are not damaged. If you are not confident with PCB work, use a professional auto locksmith or electronics repairer.

Important: Please check compatibility before ordering. If you are unsure which button is required, get in touch with us before fitting. Be careful when opening the key, as remote housings, circuit boards and solder pads can be easily damaged.
