The 8E OEM Diagnostic Transponder Chip for Honda is a Sokymat vehicle transponder chip used for spare and replacement key programming with suitable diagnostic equipment. A transponder chip must be correctly prepared and programmed before it will start the vehicle; fitting the chip alone will not bypass or operate the immobiliser.

Check compatibility

  • Do not rely only on make, model, year or registration search, as vehicles can change systems on crossover years.
  • Match the chip ID, part/reference code and vehicle application against your existing key or immobiliser data before ordering.

Programming required

  • Professional programming is required before the vehicle will start.
  • Some chips must be pre-coded or generated before they can be learnt to the vehicle.

Tool and pre-coding notes
