The Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall / Opel and PSA 3 Button Remote Key Rubber Button Pad Replacement is a cost-effective replacement button part for selected Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall / Opel and PSA remote keys. It is ideal when the remote key is generally working, but the button area has become worn, split, sticky, intermittent or difficult to press.
Instead of replacing, cutting and programming a complete new remote key, many button faults can be repaired using the correct replacement button part. This can save money and keep the original key electronics in use where they are still serviceable.
This is a rubber outer button pad / insert, not the soldered micro-switch type. It is used when the visible rubber button area on the remote housing has worn through, gone soft, split, fallen out or made the key look tired, while the internal circuit board still works correctly.
How to diagnose the fault
If the remote still operates when you press the board switch underneath, but the outer rubber button is damaged or no longer presses cleanly, a rubber button pad is usually the correct repair part. If the board switch itself has collapsed or no longer clicks, you may need a soldered button switch instead.

Fitting advice
Fit carefully into the existing key housing or repair case, making sure the button pad sits flat and lines up with the board switches underneath. Do not force the case shut, as this can damage the remote shell, PCB or button contacts.
