The Ford - Transit Custom Genuine OEM Ignition Antenna Transceiver / Coil Aerial - BK2T-15607-AC is used around the ignition area to help the vehicle read the transponder signal from the key. If the key turns but the immobiliser light stays on, the vehicle does not recognise the key, or the engine cranks but will not authorise/start, the antenna transceiver, key chip, wiring, BCM/ECU or immobiliser system may need checking.

Switch, barrel or housing?

Customers often confuse a failed ignition switch with a worn ignition barrel or damaged housing. The switch is the electrical part; the barrel and housing are the mechanical parts the key turns in.
