The Ford HU101 Flip Key Blade new Style Remote is designed for customers who need a spare blade, a replacement for a broken blade, or a fresh blade when the existing key has become worn. A badly worn key can stop turning smoothly and, if it continues to be forced, may eventually cause extra wear or damage inside the lock itself.

Worn key blades are often mistaken for a faulty vehicle lock. Before paying for lock repairs, the cheapest and most sensible first step is often to have a new blade cut back to factory specification. This can restore the correct key shape so it operates the lock as intended.
