This aftermarket smart remote key is designed for BMW. Key details include 2 Button, 433MHz, ID8A, BM-7/BW9. It is ideal as a spare or replacement remote key when the original is lost, damaged or unreliable.

Fitment checks

  • Match the part number, frequency, button layout, blade/profile and case shape against your existing key.
  • Registration, make/model/year and catalogue data can be wrong on crossover-year vehicles or cars with added extras.
  • For smart keys, check whether your vehicle uses keyless start, keyless entry or another smart-key setup.

Programming required

  • Most remote keys need professional programming; this usually cannot be done remotely.

Tool & fault notes

  • A remote showing as locked on a tool does not always mean it is faulty or unusable.
  • Some machines cannot read every frequency, for example certain tools may not read 868MHz keys.
  • If programming fails, try a suitable alternative machine before assuming the remote is faulty.
